as regions. But regions of what and where? It surely cannot be the UK.
For that to be the case then England
would also have to be on this list.
Unless, of
course, England
is the UK.
Ignorance? Arrogance?
Indifference? Take your pick. The BBC are
guilty of all three.
So, while London
is calling to the far away world, the idea that “British” should not be
confused with “English” still remains lost to those at the Anglo-Saxonphone.
