Froth and Bubbles

I watched the first show in David Mitchell’s new series ‘The Bubble’ on BBC 2 the other week. The idea is that three people are kept away from last week’s news stories and then offered a selection of news stories and asked to determine which ones are real. I thought it entertaining but not that demanding. That was because I knew what had made the news that week.
For the second episode, I hadn’t seen much of what was in the news. And it wasn’t so easy to sift out the rubbish.
The stuff that was made up was just as convincing as the stuff that had made the news.

I can’t for the life of me think why.
